Deer

Archery

  • Season Dates: Sept. 9 - Oct. 13
  • Restrictions: Deer Seasons and Either-Sex Days apply
  • Bag Limits:
    • 12 deer per season statewide
    • Maximum 10 antlerless deer
    • Maximum 2 antlered deer
    • One antlered deer must have 4+ points on one side or 15-inch outside spread
  • Special Notes:
    • No firearms hunting in specified metro counties
    • First 2 weeks of archery in certain counties are buck-only
    • Extended Archery Season: Jan. 15 - Jan. 31 in selected counties
    • Primitive Weapons & Youth-Only Firearms: Oct. 14 - Oct. 20
    • Firearms: Oct. 21 - Jan. 14 (statewide), Oct. 21-Jan. 15 (specified southern counties)

Bear

Northern Zone
  • Archery: Sept. 9 - Oct. 13
  • Primitive Weapons & Youth-Only Firearms: Oct. 14 - 20
  • Firearms: Oct. 21 - Jan. 14
  • Bag Limits:
    • Two bears per season
    • Only one bear from Central or Southern Zones
Central Zone
  • Firearms: Dec. 16* *(Additional date if <6 female bears harvested on Dec. 16)
Southern Zone
  • Firearms: Sept. 21-23, Sept. 28-30, Oct. 5-7, Oct. 12-14

Turkey

Special Opportunity (Statewide)

  • Season Dates: Mar. 23-24, 2024
  • Eligible Hunters: Youth (16 or younger) and mobility impaired persons

Private Lands

  • Season Dates: Mar. 30 - May 15, 2024
  • Bag Limits:
    • 2 Gobblers per season
    • Daily limit of 1

WMAs, VPAs & National Forest

  • Season Dates: Apr. 6 - May 15, 2024
  • Bag Limits:
    • 1 gobbler per area per person
    • WMA specifics vary
