Species Daily Limit Exceptions and Additional Information
Bass (All black bass species) 10 Lake Lindsay Grace (Wayne Co.) - Only one bass may be greater than 22 inches.
Catfish (Channel and/or Flathead) No limit
Crappie (Black and/or White) 30
Pickerel (Chain, Grass, and/or Redfin) 15
Shad (American and/or Hickory) 8
Striped Bass, White Bass, Hybrid White-Striped Bass 15 (only two of which can be 22 inches or longer) - Limits vary by location (North Newport River, Medway River, Little Ogeechee River, etc.) - Savannah River limits are different. - Lake Richard B. Russell and Lake Secession Dam have specific limits. - Check Fishing Regulations for shared waters with South Carolina.
Sunfish or Bream (Bluegill, Flier, Redbreast, Redear, Rock bass, Spotted sunfish, Warmouth, and Shadow bass) 50 Check South Carolina Agreement for specific limits in shared waters.
Trout (Brook, Rainbow, Brown trout, and hybrids) 8 Specific limits apply to certain areas like Amicalola Creek, Chattahoochee River, Chattooga River, Smithgall Woods, etc. Check agreements with South Carolina for shared waters.
Walleye 8 Check Public Fishing Areas for any special limits.
Sturgeon (May not be taken in fresh or saltwater in Georgia) Not allowed
