Vermont Turkey Seasons

Here are the turkey hunting seasons in Vermont:

Youth Weekend (Statewide):

  • Hunting Start Date: The weekend before the start of spring turkey season
  • Bag Limit: 1 bearded turkey

Novice Weekend (Statewide):

  • Hunting Start Date: The weekend before the start of spring turkey season
  • Bag Limit: 1 bearded turkey

Spring Turkey Season:

  • Hunting Start Date: May 1
  • Hunting End Date: May 31
  • Bag Limit: 2 bearded turkeys

Fall - Archery only (Statewide):

  • Hunting Start Date: October 7
  • Hunting End Date: October 20
  • Bag Limit: 1 turkey of either sex

Fall Archery or Shotgun (WMUs B, D, G, H, I, J, L, M, O, P, and Q):

  • Hunting Start Date: October 21
  • Hunting End Date: October 29
  • Bag Limit: 1 turkey of either sex

Fall Archery or Shotgun (WMUs F, K, and N):

  • Hunting Start Date: October 21
  • Hunting End Date: November 5
  • Bag Limit: 1 turkey of either sex

Please note the bag limits and specific hunting season dates for each turkey season. Ensure that you comply with all regulations during the hunting season.
