Don't forget to mark June 24, 2024, in your calendar! Until they are all taken, antlerless hunting licenses for WMUs 1B, 2G, and 3A will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Residents in all other WMUs will be able to begin obtaining their antlerless licenses on June 27, 2024. Recall that resident licenses are only assured till July 7, 2024, the conclusion of the first cycle.

It is crucial to confirm that the contact details listed on your HuntFishPA web profile are current. All holders of hunting licenses will receive postcards from the agency with crucial details regarding the new purchasing procedure, just to keep everyone updated.


It is recommended of new hunters who are keen to participate to form their CIDs and user profiles before June 24. The goal of this proactive strategy is to facilitate a seamless sales process.

The cost of an antlerless deer license is $6.97 for locals and $26.97 for non-residents.

Dates to Obtain Antlerless Deer Hunting Permits in Pennsylvania

Starting Monday, June 24, 2024, antlerless licenses for WMUs 1B, 2G, and 3A will be for sale. As they are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, it's a race to obtain yours early. But don't worry, from Thursday, June 27 to Sunday, July 7, 2024, residents will be able to obtain their licenses for all other WMUs.

On Monday, July 8, 2024, non-residents are welcome to participate and claim any leftover antlerless licenses on a first-come, first-served basis.

The second round, which is available to both residents and non-residents, starts on Monday, July 22, 2024.

On Monday, August 12, 2024, the Deer Management Assistance Program (DMAP) licenses will go on sale.

Beginning on September 21, 2024, and ending on January 25, 2025, is the deer season for 2024–2025.

Landowner antlerless deer licenses are only offered to residents and non-residents at participating county treasurer sites.

PGC Doe Tags: Round System

Antlerless deer licenses are available for four rounds. It is now possible to purchase antlerless deer licenses online and at PGC license issuing agent sites.

For the first three rounds, a hunter may only receive one antlerless deer license every round. But a hunter may be able to obtain up to six antlerless deer licenses overall in the fourth round.
